A pretty helpful project

Calling all decorative painters and faux finishers. Taylor-based Terry's Enchanted Cottage needs help on a project to transform the Grace Centers of Hope, Oakland County's oldest and largest homeless shelter, into a peaceful cottage-style refuge for homeless women and those battling addiction.

Interior decorator Terry Grahl is donating her time and resources to make over nine private bedrooms at the shelter. Volunteers are needed to help paint furniture for the Grace Centers starting at 9 a.m. Sept. 25 at Extra Space Storage, 11511 Allen Road, Southgate.

"We're hoping for 20 to 25 volunteers so that we can get all of the furniture sanded and painted in one day," Grahl said.

To volunteer or to find out how to donate in other ways, call Grahl at 734-776-0848 or e-mail.  terrysenchantedcottage@comcast.net   www.TerrysEnchantedCottage.com
